3 Fast Food Items that Show Americans Love to Eat Unhealthy
If you live in the United States it’s no surprise we love to eat like shit. We like sugar in our drinks, salt on everything, and huge portions. Nothing screams “merica” more then devouring some kind of triple cheese burger that makes your arteries want to buy a Life Alert. Some people out there even try to challenge themselves on the matter by consuming large amounts of food to win prizes. In Kennesaw, Georgia two people can pay 50 dollars to try and eat an 11 pound pizza in an hour. Want to test your luck on eating a 6 pound ice cream sundae? You will find this in Walnut Creek, California where this classic treat is so massive its served out of a kitchen sink! Yes, a kitchen sink! It consists of 8 scoops of ice cream, 3 bananas, 8 different toppings, whipped cream, nuts, and a cherry at the top. What makes Americans want to use and abuse their bodies like this? To quote the Tootsie Pop owl, “The world may never know.”
Here are 3 Fast Food Items that Show Americans Love to Eat Unhealthy…
1. Double Down – KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken)
This upper cut of a sandwich will shoot a bottle rocket of fat straight to your heart and leave your insides greasy for days. This monstrosity was first released onto the world in the United States in April of 2010. Two deep fried chicken breast act as the bread, and bacon and cheese are the filling for this unholy abomination. Too unhealthy for you? Don’t worry. You can request to have the chicken breast grilled. The Double Down contains 150 milligrams of cholesterol and 1,380 milligrams of sodium. To put in perspective the USDA recommends about 300 milligrams of cholesterol and 2,400 milligrams of sodium a day. KFC released a statement saying in a 3 month time period they sold about 10 million Double Downs and made a revenue of about 50 million dollars. That’s about 5 percent of KFC’s sales from the months of April to July.
2. New York Pizza Burger – Burger King
Americans love both burgers and pizza. Why not combine the two? Burger King did just that in 2010 by stuffing a huge beef patty, pepperoni, marinara sauce, and mozzarella in a 9 1/2 inch bun. Make sure you have a couple Bumex tablets near by as it contains over 1,100 milligrams of sodium. You can’t get this blood clot of a meal in just any Burger King. You will have to find one of their Burger King Whopper Bars which are located only in certain cities. New York, Memphis, and South Beach are a few of these areas. Burger King mentioned that Whopper Bars are a more “playful” style of the restaurant that have a different menu, a viewing area for customers on the preparation of their meal, and some locations even sell beer.
3. Naked Egg Taco – Taco Bell
In early 2017 Taco Bell released a Naked Chicken Chalupa where the taco shell was replaced with fried chicken. Well, this time they are trying out something new for breakfast. The taco includes a bacon or sausage variety, cheese, and a shell made from fried egg. One of these bad boys isn’t that bad by itself, but who eats just one taco? Three of these total up to an amount of 2,070 milligrams of sodium and 930 calories. You would need to run for about and hour in a half just to burn that off. Not to mention who wants to run after eating Taco Bell? The first place I want to go is the restroom so I can get my holy water and crucifix ready for the demon I’m about to protrude from my body.
